History

On 18 January 1922, William Grogan was appointed Royal Commissioner to inquire into and report upon the following matters:

1) The establishment of the settlement at Kendenup;

2) The financial position of Mr Clement John de Garis; and

3) The formation, administration, financial position and affairs of the De Garis Kendenup (W.A.) Development Company Limited and the Kendenup Fruit Packing Company Limited.

The Royal Commission's report was completed on 1 August 1922.
