History

On 2 May 1929, T.P. Draper was appointed Royal Commissioner to Inquire into the Circumstances Surrounding the Case of Mrs Dillon.

The case related to alleged defamation and the subsequent arrest and commitment for trial of Mrs Dillon. The case against Mrs Dillon was not pursused and, following local newspapers reporting on the matter, a Royal Commission was established to investigate the case including the conduct of the Police Force.
