History
The Coolgardie Sanatorium was operating by 1905 to treat the increasing number of patients - particularly miners - who had developed pulminary tuberculosis. Upon completion of the Wooroloo Sanatorium in 1915, patients were transferred from Coolgardie Sanatorium to this new hospital.
