History
Prior to 1914, the Municipality of Leederville acted under its own Council. In November 1914, the Councils of Perth, North Perth and Leederville agreed to the union of these three Municipalities on the lines laid down in the Municipal Corporations Act 1906. The union was effected on the 22 December 1914.
