History

On 16 January 1925, J.W. Burgess, John Dale and F.J. Roberts were appointed Royal Commissioners to Inquire Into the Milk Supply of Western Australia. The Commission's terms of reference were:

1) To inquire into the milk supply of the Metropolitan area, having regard to its production, quantity and quality, and its transport, handling and distribution;

2) To consider whether the methods of production, transport, handling and distribution could be improved, and if so, to make recommendations accordingly; and

3) Generally to make such other recommendations which would lead to improvement in the milk supply.

The report of the Royal Commission was completed on 22 June 1925.
