History
The South West Road Board Association was formed when representatives of the south west road boards attended a conference at Donnybrook on 29 October 1909. The Association dealt with matters affecting their road boards and with amendments to Road Acts, etc. The Association changed its name to the South West Shire Councils Association on 1 July 1961.
