Administrative history
The Office of Racing and Gaming was created to ensure that racing, gaming and liquor matters are administered in an efficient and effective manner. The Office provided policy advice to the Minister and was responsible for the administration of all racing, gaming and liquor legislation.
The name of the department was changed to the Office of Racing, Gaming and Liquor on 12 September 1995.

This series consists of certified copies of plans of licensed premises (hotels, bars and clubs).
Plans for licensed premises were submitted to the Premises Section, Liquor Licensing Division, Office of Racing Gaming & Liquor for approval.
A sample of "defunct" plans was selected for transfer to the State Records Office in early 1995.
