Administrative history
The Municipality of North Fremantle was established when the area to be covered by the Municipality was severed from the Municipality of Fremantle on 11 September 1895. On 1 July 1961 when all municipalities became towns, the Municipality of North Fremantle became the Town of North Fremantle. The Town of North Fremantle was abolished on 30 October 1961 when it became part of the City of Fremantle.
