History
An Order-in-Council of 8 April 1911 declared the Municipality of Busselton to be a Water Area and the Municipal Council was declared to be a Water Board under the name of the Busselton Water Board. This was revoked by an Order-of-Council which was to take effect from 13 January 1951.
The districts of the Busselton Municipal Council and the Sussex Road Board were constituted as the Busselton Water Area. The Board was to be an elected one and to comprise of nine elected members - five elected by the Busselton Municipality and four by the Sussex Road Board.
