The Department of State Services was created following a change of name from Department of Services. The Department was responsible for State Print, State Supply, State Information Technology and State Microfilm. On 1 July 1996 the Department of State Services and the Western Australian Building Management Authority merged to become the Department of Contract and Management Services.
