The first part of the register records convicts attached to the Albany Convict Depot, listing: date / convict number / name / admission / discharge or Ticket of Leave date / remarks. Depot entries cover 1862 - 1872.
The second part of the register is in the form of a brief daily journal that notes the number of prisoners at Albany Gaol and the duties assigned for the day. Entries can also include the names of prisoners received / discharged and notes on trial information. Journal entries cover May 1874 - April 1885.
