Individual files of this series are often bound together two or more in the same binder. The order of the binders within this series is imposed as no original order was apparent.

On the spine of each binder, creating Department and basic content is noted in code (e.g. AD:P contains Petitions collected and acted upon by the Administration Department).

Records have been found for the following Departments: Administration, Building Surveyors, Cultural Activities, Finance and Rates, Health, Library, Parking, Parks and Recreation, Town Planning and Works (Engineering) and Employees.

This record series was commenced in January 1962 but in some instances older records have been incorporated into the series. Likewise, even though the subsequent series of files started in January 1982, officers were still adding to this series of files up to 1983.
