History
The Department of Trade Development, incorporating the former Office of Countertrade and the Overseas Relations Office, was a sub-department of the Department of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. The Department of Trade Development worked to assist internationally competitive WA organisations improve their trade performance.
The Department was abolished on 1 January 1991, and the Department of State Development was established on the same day.
