Scope and content
In 1985, new public artwork was commissioned for the Alexander Library Building which opened that year. This series includes a range of different design proposals submitted in the form of scale drawings, sketches and image overlays from several notable artists. The chosen design was Gate 2: Coalesce by Akio Makigawa and this sculpture was placed in front of the library building.
