Notebook mainly devoted to research undertaken on Reserves for the ‘Use and Benefit of Aborigines’. Information shows that many Reserves originally declared for Aboriginal people throughout WA were later transferred and vested in another department, e.g. the Department of Community Welfare, Fisheries and Wildlife, Department of Public Works, etc. Notes include where Reserves were cancelled and files destroyed. Areas detailed include Brookton, Frog Hollow, Gnowerangerup, Katanning, Carnarvon, Cue, Kojonup, Boddington, Narrogin, Halls Creek, and many other locations throughout Southern, Northern and Eastern WA.
