Administrative history
The WA Government Railways, Tramways & Ferries was abolished in 1949 and the Western Australian Government Railways (2) and the Western Australian Government Tramways & Ferries created. The latter agency continued until 15 January 1958 when the Metropolitan (Perth) Passenger Transport Trust was created.
