Biographical history

Hugh Carey Barclay (1905 - 1997) was a registered and licensed surveyor working for the Western Australian Lands and Surveys Department. In 1935 -1937 he led three expeditions to the Kimberley region to accurately survey the 129th Meridian, the boundary between Western Australia and the Northern Territory. He later was Director of Lands, Northern Territory.
