Administrative history
The Environmental Protection Act Amendment Act 1975 abolished the Department of Environmental Protection [1] and created the Department of Conservation and Environment. This Department was abolished in February 1987 when the Environmental Protection Authority [1] became a Department.

Scope and content
This series comprises files created by the Department of Conservation and Environment for its System 6 study. The aim of this study was the identification of conservation areas, reserves, national parks and recreation requirements in the area of land stretching from Guilderton in the north to Bunbury in the south.
