Scope and content

This record consists of two folios documenting improvements to townsite lots in Nanson and the (then) current annual value of each lot as well as the proposed value, dependant upon improvements. The record lists Lots 1-49, the name of the owner or occupier, the upset price, a brief description of the lot and any dwellings (e.g. "vacant, cleared and fenced", "House, galvanised iron, 3 rooms"), the present annual value, the proposed annual value and additional remarks.

This record was received by the State Records Office of WA in 2004 as an estray. It had previously been enclosed in a collection of private archives from the Victoria Dictrict Flour Milling Company but the record was created by the Upper Chapman Road Board. The document contains a notation that the valuations were "adopted by resolution of the Board Minutes of 8/07/1937, p. 170, H. Grant".
