History
The Kalgoorlie road district was designated as such on 17 September 1897. It included the road districts of East Coolgardie, Broad Arrow, Kanowna and North East Coolgardie in 1897, 1912, 1922 and 1922 respectively. The Kalgoorlie Road Board became the Shire of Kalgoorlie on 1 July 1962.
