Administrative history
The Darling Range district was defined as a Road District on 30 April 1897. The Road Board was divided into 3 wards in 1911 and into 4 wards in 1912. The Darling Range Road Board became the Shire of Kalamunda in 1961.

This series contains one minute book of the Gooseberry Hill Recreation Grounds Committee plus some loose correspondence and receipts. In 1899 the Recreation Grounds were vested in the Committee. In Dec 1904 Reserve 2935 was placed under the control and management of the Darling Range Road Board.
