Administrative history
The Outer Metropolitan Perth Regional Council was formed for the purposes of applying the [Commonwealth] Grants Commission Act 1973. Under Secton 18 of the Act an approved regional organisation could apply for financial assistance for the organisation, or all or any of the local government bodies that it represented. The Outer Metropolitan Perth Regional Council consisted of the local authorities of Armadale-Kelmscott, Gosnells, Kalamunda, Mundaring, Murray, Serpentine/Jarrahdale, Swan and Wanneroo.
