Scope and content

Newspaper clippings compiled by the Government Media Office Clipping Service relating to the Ministerial portfolio's of the Hon Graham John Edwards MLC. Clippings are arranged in chronological order by portfolio in the following sequence: Consumer Affairs and Sport and Recreation (Interfiled for the first four years), Police and Emergency Services. Articles included within these files have been gathered from a variety of Western Australian newspapers (both metropolitan and rural) by the Government Media Office Clipping Service for the information of the Minister. The articles contained in these files relate either directly or indirectly to the Minister's portfolios, or contain some reference to the Minister himself.

There are also two special collections of newspaper cuttings from the Police Department - relating to Firearms and prostitution, which are filed independently of the other sequences. Firearms articles relate to proposed changes to gun laws, and the prostitution articles deal with changes of laws dealing with prostitution and the taxation of brothel owners.
