Administrative history

The Police Station at Big Bell opened in 1937, closed between 25 March 1943 and 7 January 1946 and then closed permanently by 1 June 1955. It was located adjacent to the Station Yard.

Scope and content

The volume was originally used by Abbotts Police Station as an Occurrence Book and was subsequently used by Big Bell Police Station to paste Circular Orders into. Occurrences between 17 April 1902 and 18 August 1902 are obscured.

Occurrence entries include date, name of officer and nature of occurrence. Circular Orders are mostly those issued by Geraldton District Office.
