Administrative history
The Hon. David Brand MLA was Minister for Housing, Forests and Local Government 7 October 1949 – 6 April 1950 and Minister for Works, Water Supply and Housing (until 24 October 1950) 6 April 1950 – 23 February 1953 in the Ross McLarty Government.
David Brand became WA Premier, as well as Treasurer and Minister for Tourism, on 2 April 1959 through to 3 March 1971. He received the Honour Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG) in 1969.
