Biographical history

Donald George May was born on 24 February 1924 and served with the A.I.F during WW2. He was elected as the Member for Canning on 31 March 1962, was defeated in February 1965 but re-elected as the Member for Clontarf on 23 March 1968. In the Tonkin Labor government, Mr May was Minister for Mines, the North-West, Electricity and Fuel until the defeat of the Tonkin government on 8 April 1974.
