On 22 December 1920, Alfred Bowman Kidson was appointed Royal Commissioner to inquire into and report on the arrest of the charge of insanity, committal to and detention in the Hospital for the Insane at Claremont, of Georgina Mable and Thomas Mable.
The Royal Commission's report was completed on 15 March 1921.
