Administrative history
On 27 January 1950, a Royal Commission was appointed to:
(a) examine, inquire into, consider and report upon the Bill bearing the short title of the "Local Government Bill, 1949" as introduced into the Legislative Assembly during the last session of the Parliament of Western Australia;
(b) To consider and inquire into suggestions for alteration or amendment to the Bill;
(c) To make recommendations for or in relation to the amendments to the Bill, deletions there-from and insertions therein as the Commission may deem proper, with a view to the subsequent re-drafting of the Bill along the general lines of the first-mentioned Bill.
