Administrative files of the Eastern District Office of the Department of Native Affairs and the Department of Native Welfare. Kalgoorlie, Esperance, Leonora, Laverton and Warburton Range Mission are included in this district.

A new filing system was introduced throughout the Department of Native Welfare's regional offices in 1962. These new files did however also incorporate earlier correspondence. Administration files were allocated file numbers according to the following system:
