Administrative history
The position of Mining Warden, Yalgoo was first appointed in January 1895. Initially, the person holding this position was also Resident Magistrate (September 1894-May 1900) and Mining Registrar (July 1894-March 1895). With gold output in Yalgoo dwindling from the early 1900's the office of the Mining Warden, Yalgoo was abolished and the functions assumed by the Mining Registrar, Cue.
