Administrative history
The Committee was constituted under the 1953 amendment to the Land Agents Act 1922-52 and comprised one member who was Chairman, a qualified accountant (member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia or the ASA), and a licensee nominated by the Real Estate Institute of W.A. The Committee dealt with complaints against land/estate agents and had the power to enquire into their dealings. It was succeeded by the Real Estate and Business Agents Supervisory Board.
