Scope and content
Registers maintained by the Public Works Department (PWD) to PWD plans. Against the PWD plan numbers, the registers record; the date of the plan, the registration date for the plan, the PWD file number cross-reference, the title of the plan, the nature of the plan (land resumption, order-in-council, plan of proposition, etc), the scale of the plan, additional remarks, to whom the plan was issued and the date issued.
This last entry records the disposition of the plan. It states if the plan has been re-attached to another plan set (and which PWD plan number it has been attached to) and the if the plan has been archived. Plans marked "archived" are in the custody of the State Records Office (see WAS 399).
From Plan 1 - 40000. Early plans are out of date order as they appear to have been registered after their creation date as they were found or used.
