Scope and content
This register is a record of settlers visited by the officer-in-charge of Williams Police Station as part of his patrols in the surrounding area. They record the name of the settler visited, their place of residence, the settler's occupation, their nationality, their marital status, their status (i.e. free settler or convict expiree) and miles covered. As a rule, the registers do not record any incidents or further activities whilst on patrol.
The register is not dated but it is believed that the volume covers 1894.
(The register in this Record Series was previously listed at the State Records Office at reference: AN 5/6; Accession 129).
