History
On the 6 January 1922, a notice appeared in the Government Gazette which declared the intention of the Governor to constitute the whole of the Municipal District of South Perth a Road District. This followed a petition by the ratepayers claiming dissatisfaction with the municipal government. The Road Board remained until the 1 March 1956 when it once again became the Municipality of South Perth.
